The e-Learning Authoring Conference

Min-e-Con is Here!

As the statement below says, we have ended our annual conference in its original format. However, we have just created the 2011 Min-e-Con to be held May 24 - 26, 2011 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Click here to learn all the details.

Statement from Jeff Rhodes
President, Platte Canyon Multimedia Software Corporation

We have reluctantly decided to end The ToolBook User’s Conference/e-Learning Authoring Conference. While we know that this conference has been a professional highlight for many of you, we feel the need to concentrate on our core strengths, namely creating software for Improving the Lives of Training Developers.

It has been a joy to get to know all of you who have attended the conference over the past twelve years. Thank you for all your support. Rest assured, we’ll spend the time that we would have used on the conference making our product line even stronger. We also may try to organize some webinars or other online events as well.

Min-e-Con was a great success. Look for another round next year.
Attendees had a great time at a small conference dedicated to ToolBook, e-Learning development, instructional design, programming techniques, and more. About 10 attendees invaded Santa Fe, New Mexico from May 24 - 26, 2011. We hope to do it again next year.

Attendee Comments:
  • It was a terrific conference---what else would it be; you do such a good job every year. So THANKS for another year well done.  (2010)
  • Great stuff!  (2009)
  • The best part was the opportunity to speak face to face with ToolBook and SumTotal people as well as the chance to get ideas from others.  (2008)
  • My favorite part was the direct communication with so many SumTotal folks.  (2008)
  • My favorite parts were 1) the people and getting to know how other people utilize ToolBook and 2) how the instructors and staff were willing to share.  (2007)
  • TBCON was a terrific experience – the location, the sessions, the fun, the ambiance – loved just everything about it!  (2007)
  • This was my first conference and I was very impressed with what I saw. It was an information overload, but I plan on being here next year and every year after that.  (2006)
  • The best was getting to know other developers and discuss our different techniques!  (2005)
  • The absolute best conference of the year!  (2002)
  • Best run/most valuable conference I've ever attended.  (2001)
  • I have only been to one worthwhile conference in the past five years (and I go to 5 to 6 a year as attendee, exhibitor, and speaker only because I have to for our business) and you know which conference that is! All meat, no fluff and smart presenters and attendees. I am telling you, I could be the poster child for your next conference! Our latest project has improved an order of magnitude over what it would have been without the conference.  (2000)
